El Racó de la Cigonya in Els Monjos

"It may seem unappealing from the outside, but inside you'll find a very large and clean restaurant with some nice although simple decor. However, I've been told there is an additional seating area at the back that is meant to be quite attractive. In regards to food, I'd rate this restaurant as something between "good" and "great". This is because of a few detracting details. To begin with, my partner and I had a goat's cheese salad. It was great, but there were one or two small pieces of cod that i can only assume had accidently fallen in the salad. Just to be clear, "cod" was not meant to be part of the ingredients. I followed this with a burger that was almost "great" except for the unappealing white bun. Then the tarte tatin for dessert was also very good except for the rainbow sprinkles on top that made me feel like I was eating a kid's meal. I'll end by saying that the service was also similar to the meal. It was almost exceptional. When we arrived, the restaurant owner greeted us like we were old friends. He's very friendly, but not overbearing. The rest of the staff were also kind and polite. It would have been 5 stars for service if we hadn't waited so long between receiving the dessert menu and ordering. At one point I thought they had forgotten about us. My small criticisms above will not put me off from coming back here again. My overall opinion of the restaurant is very good."

"Muy recomendado! Servicio amable y profesional, precio correcto y la comida riquísima, nos pusimos las botas. Las bravas son caseras, con una salsa con un picante suave y un toque de trufa. De plato principal me pedí los ravioli de gall negre i salsa de ceps, buenísimos, acompañados por una salsa cremosa con mucho sabor a setas, y los raviolis estaban generosamente rellenos. La hamburguesa de foie, el entrecot y la pizza de formatges los probé y también estaban muy bien. De postre, recomiendo su coulant de chocolate y su crema catalana con carquinyolis y catanias. Mi familia y yo muy contentos de cenar aquí. Cuando estemos por la zona, repetiremos restaurante sin duda!"

"A random find, but probably one of the best "menu del Día" places in the area. My wife and I have been going a few times now while we are in the middle of moving chaos. The food is excellent, they even have gluten free and vegetarian options and the service is friendly. It is worth the drive from Sitges."
